Tuna Pasta Salade

You’re hungry, tired, and your brain’s done for the day, we’ve all been there. This tuna pasta salad is super easy, fresh, and actually filling. It’s the kind of meal you can throw together with what’s lying around, and it somehow always hits the spot. Bonus: it makes great leftovers if you don’t eat it all straight out of the bowl (no judgment if you do).

Ingredients

  • Pasta (e.g., fusilli or penne)
  • Canned tuna
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Grated Carrot
  • Red onion, thinly slice
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise, Mustard and Ketchup
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta
Cook your pasta till it’s al dente, drain it, and rinse with cold water, because no one wants a sweaty salad.
  2. Mix tuna & mayo
In a bowl, mash your tuna with mayo, mustard and ketchup until it’s creamy and dreamy. Add salt and pepper. This is the heart of the salad, treat it with love.
  3. Prep the fresh stuff
Slice those cherry tomatoes, chop up the cucumber, and cut the red onion nice and thin and don't forget to grate that carrot like a boss.
  4. Bring it all together
Throw everything into a big bowl: pasta, tuna mix, veggies. Gently stir it all up like you're folding laundry you actually care about. Done!

Common questions

What is Berry Lemon actually about?

Berry Lemon is a chill, student-friendly platform that helps you figure out what to eat without the stress. Think simple, affordable meals you can actually make, with ingredients you probably already have. It’s like having a food-savvy roommate who’s always got a good idea for dinner.

Are the meals expensive or hard to shop for?

Nope! The whole idea is that they’re budget-friendly and student-proof. Most recipes are built with what’s already in your fridge or pantry. No weird ingredients, no €15 shopping trips, just real food you can afford.

Do I need to be good at cooking to use Berry Lemon?

Not at all. Whether you’ve never cooked more than pasta or you’re already the go-to chef in your friend group, Berry Lemon is made for everyone. The recipes are easy, no-nonsense, and flexible. No fancy techniques. Just good food.

Can I share my own recipes too?

Not yet, but stay tuned. Berry Lemon is starting with our favorite go-to meals, but the dream is to build a community where students can share their own creations, tips, and food hacks. Basically, we’re building the student cookbook we all wish we had.
